Lizard Of Enlightenment
An original hand-painted shamanic drum inspired by transformation, wisdom, and the Four Elements.
The Lizard of Enlightenment represents renewal, resilience, and the courage to embrace change. Surrounded by the energies of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, this striking design invites balance, intuition, and a deeper connection with the natural world.
Watching over the lizard are the Shining Ones—ancient beings of light who symbolise guidance, protection, and spiritual awakening. Together they create a powerful image for meditation, ceremony, sound healing, or simply as a unique piece of contemporary sacred art.
Each drum is individually hand-painted in my Devon studio using acrylic paints and finished with a protective varnish.

A handcrafted circular shaman drum for journeying, ceremony and deep spiritual work.
Features
• Ash wood frame with reinforcement ring
• Treated goat-hide vellum head
• Traditional back-lacing with suede-wrapped handle
• Beater included
• Approx. 3" deep
• 16" drum weighs around 750g
• Deep, powerful and resonant voice
Ash wood has long been connected to protection, rebirth and transformation, especially within traditional Druidic practices.

Each drum is carefully packaged and sent via tracked and signed courier delivery.

Drum Care
Your drum does not require oil, as the artwork is protected with a light varnish.
Avoid extreme temperatures or direct sunlight, which can dull the sound.
If the drum loses tension:
• Lightly mist only the inside of the drum with water (never the painted side).
• The skin may wrinkle — this is normal.
• Leave it to dry naturally overnight to re-tighten.
